Ho hum
Ho humSo the President didn't say much about health care in the State of the Union after all. Rather than be like Bill Clinton and talk about health care he decided to act like Jimmy Carter and talk about Synfuels. It's just as well he didn't talk about health care, because if he had it would have been to propose tax breaks for out-of-pocket medical expenses. That's hardly the way to reduce spending. After all, you wouldn't expect charitable contributions to decline if you made the tax break more appealing.
